Round The Island Race

The annual J.P. Morgan Asset Management Round the Island Race, is organised by the Island Sailing Club. A one-day yacht race around the Isle of Wight, the race attracts over 1,700 boats and around 16,000 sailors, making it one of the largest yacht races in the world.

The race is the fourth largest participation sporting event in the UK after the London Marathon and the Great North and South Runs.

Competitors come from all over the world to tackle the 50 nautical mile course, which starts at the Royal Yacht Squadron line in Cowes.  On the course you’ll get to explore The Needles, St Catherine’s Point and Bembridge Ledge Bouy before finishing back in the Solent & Cowes.
