Well, what a summer it has been!
Our season started early, with glorious sunshine and almost warm weather covering the south coast from March, through to September.
On a sunny day, you’d be forgiven for mistaking the Solent for the Mediterranean with its stunning landscape and sparkling blue sea.
Sailing over from Lymington, the relaxing journey gives our guests on board the chance to explore our 50-foot luxury motorcruiser, Rum Runner. Whether it’s on the fly bridge or sitting in the spacious lounge – or one of the three cabins – there’s plenty of room to enjoy all it has to offer.
Our guests are able to relax on board and take in the sights and sounds of the Solent. The crossing allows guests time to chat and learn more about the boat – and even take the helm.
We like our guests to feel involved and make the most of their time on board Rum Runner.
A short hop across the water and we arrive at either Yarmouth Harbour or Totland Bay on the Isle of Wight.
From there, the dining experience begins.
We couldn’t ask for a more perfect venue than The Hut. Mooring up on Rum Runner in the Solent, our clients are collected in a motorised dinghy and taken to the shore. There were a few wet feet when disembarking – if the tide was in – but never one complaint.
Once at The Hut, you’d be hard pressed to find a better dining experience in the south. With an atmosphere similar to that you’d see at a beach club n restaurant in Mallorca, Ibiza or the south of France and staff who work tirelessly to cater to your every need, every visit just gets better and better.
The Hut describes itself as, ‘An easy-going beach restaurant that combines an unrivalled passion for simple yet delicious food, with a desire to create a relaxed but stylish environment for all to enjoy and offers a more exciting approach to seaside dining on the Isle of Wight.’ And we couldn’t agree more.
Our guests are able to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy the cuisine before returning back to Rum Runner.
From here, we have the option of cruising round to see the stunning sight of The Needles and the white cliffs of the Isle of Wight, before casually returning to Lymington Harbour.
